First time in my life, I had to hire someone to move dirt. Father was "always" around with a machine when I got a wild hair to do some dirt work. Well, being he's been dead almost three years, I had to bring in a "outsider".
This guy has a few machines that he does side jobs. He does earthwork as his occupation, and actually worked with the old man on a few jobs...
So I wanted a few small hills taken out of the south end of one of our fields, we rent out, and the clay under the topsoil pushed over the end of the field, to slope it down. It was a fairly steep drop off, and it worked out well.
He stripped back the topsoil, then pushed the clay to where I wanted it, and replaced the topsoil to the field.
Now I can plant a food plot on the slope for the deer. Easy 100 yard shot from the shop.
Anyway, got a few pictures of him starting, but he finished up before I got back. Just wanted to share a few pictures of his dozer. Yep, International TD 15C. He said it's a 1975, and only has 4000 hrs on it. Somebitch pushed well.
I'll post some pictures of the finished work another time.
I like seeing this "old iron" still pushing dirt.
