    73 lights

So I have a 73 with out headlights and a good friend of mine has a headlight panel for me. My question is, is there tail lights or light that would have came with the headlight option for this 7hp model? Thanks in advance.
    Cory.

Yes, it was a round light. I'll see if I have a pic.

Just because it's old, doesn't mean it's obsolete!

From a 71 owners manual. Same for the 73 though.

Might just be me but I never really liked the way they mounted the light 90 degrees from the way it looks like it should be

I don't like the rear light at all. Unless I was doing a restore, I wouldn't even put it on there. Why do I need a red light on the back of a lawn tractor? I need a WORK LIGHT!

Those come up on eBay fairly often. You’ll see them listed as a Grote tail light. People are pretty proud of them, so be prepared to pay for one.

Dad mounted a work light on the back of our 1450 in 1977.. it still works great and comes in very handy.. I was told it was a reverse light from a late 60's Chevy stepside pickup truck!

Yeah Cory, skip the taillight. (This is the Grote) As in the red one, unless you will be going for a "ride" through town at night.
You'd get much more use out of the "work light". Use those LED's, then you can see where you were. IMG_2349.JPGIMG_2351.JPG

                        Looks good buddy.
Amazing what you can see in the dark with headlights.
You guys could get up to 6" of that shit. You have fun, cause it's gonna be that wet heavy stuff...

yep a heavey dose of 5 inches Todd. What did you end up with? My brother in green bay had 2 inches. 20190107_065855.jpg

Glad it worked for you. We got 3-4, be my guess.
It sure was some wet heavy stuff. Then rained on top of it. Just thought, what the heck am I doing typing this, I talked to you today on the phone.
